Kiwi's are very strange creatures.

African bull elephant with broken tusk. Derwent white charcoal on 8x10 toned black mixed media heavy-weight paper.

My first venture into artist grade colouring pencils - and I'm smitten! I never thought I could achieve such boldness and blendability with them! I'm still getting used to them and will think about choosing smoother paper with less tooth next time. The texture and weight was more for the water-based gouache along with alcohol inks (which are very unforgiving to even primed heavy paper!). Apologies for the unevenness of lighting between the 2 sides of paper; will correct that when I'm making proper image files.

Mjolnir is Thor's best battle weapon, sometimes dare we say, his bestie! And when the wicked Skrull and Kree Empires threaten to enslave and lay waste to Earth, Thor turns to his best friend to assist him in slaying the evils of the galaxy!!!! (Inspired by Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon) Thank you

For a long time, I always misheard the lyrics in the song ‘Torn Green Velvet Eyes’ by The Magnetic Fields as ‘Tom Green Velvet Eyes’… told myself that one day I’d draw something inspired by this mishearing of things and well, here you go!

Willingly burrows “Ian”...

I don't know why these all upload sideways, but here's my latest work for the sketchbook. I created the electric field pattern and printed it on photo paper then doodled these rainbow trout (at the suggestion of my friend Andrew) and glued them on.

Casey the Puppet. This painting captures the essence of a puppet lots of older Canadians will remember. A strange genderless creature with a dog puppet companion. A puppet with an outspoken personality that I remember as a kid wondering how it got away with saying what it did. The painting has a Canadian stamp to commemorate the puppet's roots.
